Online Registration Form Honor Choir ScheduleHonor Choir Flyer
Friday and Saturday, February 7-8, 2014.
Choral students in grades 9-12 are eligible to participate in the Lee University Honor Choir. There will be a Women’s Choir conducted by Lynnel Joy Jenkins and a Men’s Choir conducted
by Dr. Jonathan Rodgers. Both will conduct the combined Mixed Choir in an SATB selection.
Directors may recommend the top students from their high school choral program. Please give consideration to the appropriate balance of voices for the gender specific choirs—3 equal
parts for the women's chorus and 3 equal parts for the men's chorus. Schools should also balance parts as well as possible for the Mixed Choir SATB selections.
Students should have the SATB selections thoroughly prepared. The SATB pieces will be sent to students upon receipt of the application and registration fee. The Women’s Choir and
Men’s Choir literature will be distributed to singers during the first rehearsal and prepared for performance during the two-day event.
The $40.00 per student fee includes registration and music, as well as lunch in the Deacon Jones Dining Hall on Friday, Feb. 6. Choral directors attend for free.
Yes, Lee University will order the music and send the three selected SATB pieces promptly upon receipt of the application and registration fee. Pieces for the Women’s Choir and
Men’s Choir will be distributed during the first rehearsal and prepared for performance during the two-day event.
In order to allow sufficient time to receive music and prepare the SATB pieces, registration forms must be postmarked by Friday, January 23, 2015. Forms and fees should be mailed to: LuAnn Holden—Honor ChoirLee University School of MusicP. O. Box 3450Cleveland, TN 37320
