Part-Time Art Faculty
The Lee University Department of Communication Arts is accepting applications from individuals qualified to teach in our art program. The Art major allows students to emphasize studio art, graphic design or art education. We seek candidates whose specialization would allow them to teach one or more of the following courses: Ceramics, Raster Graphics, Vector Graphics, 2D Design, Drawing, Painting, 3D Design, Sculpture, and Art History. Successful candidates will teach courses on a semester-by-semester basis as needed.
Qualifications include Christian commitment, demonstrated teaching ability, and a graduate degree in Studio Art, Graphic Design, or Art History; or a minimum of 18 graduate hours in one of these areas. Candidates with an appropriate graduate degree should be prepared to submit sample portfolio work. Candidates without a graduate degree but who have demonstrated artistic and professional experience may also be considered. Such candidates must present a complete portfolio that substantiates the ability to teach in the specific subject area or artistic medium as well as a resume that documents professional experience.
