Composers’ Forum this Friday Share Tweet Email LinkedIn 03/13/17 Top News University Wide All Inclusive Students The Lee University Composers’ Forum will host its second annual concert on Friday, March 17 at 7:30 p.m. in Squires Recital Hall. The Composers’ Forum is a student organization that fosters camaraderie and creativity among student composers and songwriters. The performance will feature new compositions by Lee students. “I am so glad these students have a venue for showcasing their creative work,” said Dr. John Wykoff, assistant professor of music theory & composition. “For most of them, it will be the first time they’ve had a public performance of their own music. My hope is that this will spur them on to do more creative work.The program will include music by Lee students Kadison Beaver, Michael Catanzaro, Eric Harper, Candace Lambert, McKenzie Stephens, and Nora Swindle. “I am so excited that we have an event like this to display the talent of our student composers. They have worked hard, and this is an event that I will be sure to attend,” said Briahnna Sullivan, president of the Lee Composers’ Forum.This is a free, non-ticketed event, and is open to the public.
