The faculty of the Natural Science and Mathematics department is known campus-wide for a willingness to work with students outside the classroom. This reputation is so strong that the Science and Mathematics building was intentionally equipped with larger offices to allow more room for professors to meet with students. This collaborative practice sees expression in many phases of academic careers at Lee, not the least of which is preparation for work and research beyond the university.
