DR. ROBERT FISHER
Professor of Psychology
Dr. Bob Fisher
has been teaching psychology at Lee University since 1983
and received Lee’s Excellence in Teaching Award in 1997. After serving as
chairman of the Behavioral and Social Sciences department from 1997-2000, he
returned to the classroom full-time. His courses include General Psychology,
Learning & Cognition, Physiological Psychology, Personality Theory, Drugs &
Behavior, History and Systems of Psychology, and Pre-Professional Seminar.
Fisher did his undergraduate work at Lee, then went on to complete
his master’s degree at Georgia State University and his Ph.D. at the University
of Tennessee at Knoxville where he wrote his dissertation on motivation and
His wife, Kim, is an elementary school principal. They have three
children, Emily, Matt, and David (all of whom are teachers) and three
grandchildren, Haley, Liam, and Rowan.
