    Piano Instructor 

    Irina Polyakova was born in St.Petersburg (Leningrad) Russia. She first went to the Music School for gifted children and then studied at the Rimsky-Korsakov Music School. Her teachers were Sofia Pozdneeva and Natalya Neginskaya.

    After coming to the USA in 1991 she first got her degrees in BA in Piano and BS in Marketing from the UTC . She studied with Earl Miller and Thomas Labe. She also holds Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from the same school. She has a long career of teaching in both countries. In Chattanooga, she is a Piano Faculty at Cadek Conservatory of Music where she has a private studio. Her students won numerous awards at CMTA and Cadek competitions. Many of her students became piano majors. She has adjudicated at CMTA, Cadek and NFMC auditions for many years. Irina is a staff accompanist at the UTC. She collaborated with many musicians at Roland Hayes Hall, Cadek Hall and Chattanooga Music Club.
