DR. PATRICIA MCCLUNG
Professor of Special Education
Dr. Trish McClung joined Lee's faculty in 2002 and teaches special education in
Lee's Helen DeVos College of Education. She began her career in
education as a high school teacher in the United Kingdom, but after coming to
the US in 1994, she became involved in serving students with disabilities.
Prior to Lee, she was a coordinator for students with disabilities for Project
Head Start for seven years and then worked in the Bradley County school system
as a special education teacher and coordinator for seven years.
has been recognized as Teacher
of the Year for Bradley County
schools, by the state of Tennessee for her work with inclusive practices in
special education, and received the Excellence in Advising Award from Lee
University in 2010.
She was awarded her doctorate in education in 2006 through the Center for Applied Research in
Education at the University of East Anglia in the UK. She earned her MEd
degree (special education emphasis) from Lee University and holds a BEd degree
from the University of London in education, religion, and philosophy.
