Lee University Music Camp 2012
GENERAL INFORMATION
Held June 25-30, Lee University Music Camp 2012 is for students entering grade 9-12 and rising college freshmen in 2012, and who are vocalists and instrumentalists desiring an in-depth study of music.
Four tracks of participation are offered: The Music Lovers Track, The College Prep Track, The Jazz Track, and The Worship Leader Track. In each of these tracks the campers participate in an ensemble, as well as study music theory and history and private or specialized study in desired performance area.Members of the Lee University faculty and visiting professionals serve as faculty for the camp.

HOUSING AND MEALS
Students are housed on campus in dorms with camp staffers assigned to each floor. Campers will need to bring bedding and towels.
Meals are served in the university dining hall, beginning on Monday evening, and ending with breakfast on Saturday morning.
Daily Schedule
Each day begins with an all-camp chapel at 8:20am. At 9:00 everyone attends a music theory class, either traditional or jazz theory. The remainder of the day, depending on the track, is spent in rehearsals, music history classes, seminar classes, master classes, or ear training classes.
Every evening the campers attend a concert. Each concert spotlights a specific area of music: vocal music, instrumental music, and jazz. Lee faculty, selected Lee students, and area professional musicians present these concerts. After every evening concert a food and fun time is held before going to the dorms for the evening. The Friday night and Saturday morning concerts are presented by the campers.
Each day ends with small group devotionals held in the dorms after curfew.

CAMP COSTS
The cost of the camp is $495. This includes all meals, housing, and concert admissions. It also includes all activities and evening food events. With the exception of the purchase of a camp t-shirt, if desired, there are no additional costs while at camp.
A non-refundable $25 application fee is applied to the camp tuition. This fee is required for the application to be processed. After June 8th an additional $25 late fee is required. This does not apply to the camp tuition.
A $50 dorm/key deposit is also required. This is in addition to the $495 camp tuition, but it refunded at checkout when the room has passed inspection and the key is returned.
There are a limited number of $250 and $100 scholarships available to those who have a proven financial need. A letter explaining the need should be submitted with the application. The $25 application fee is not waived and should be included with the application and scholarship request letter.
