As a part of the Lee University Homecoming activities, the
School of Music will present its annual Music Festival on Saturday,
Nov. 3, at 7 p.m. in the Conn Center.
The program will highlight many of the university's ensembles
including Symphonic Band, Lee Singers, Voices of Lee, Chamber
Strings, Chorale, Jazz Band, Campus Choir, and Evangelistic Singers
(EVS).
"The Homecoming Music Festival is one of our most exciting
events of the year," said Dr. William Green, Dean of Lee's School
of Music. "It is a great opportunity to connect back to our alumni
musically and spiritually."
This year will also feature the 45th anniversary
of the Evangelistic Singers. Homecoming weekend will feature
various events for EVS alumni, including a Friday night reception,
Saturday morning breakfast, and live recording on Sunday, as well
as rehearsals Friday and Saturday for the ensemble's performance at
the Music Festival. Many alumni are slated to perform with the
current group in the concert.
The event will also feature a mass choir of all the vocal
ensembles, accompanied by Symphonic Band. The combined choir will
sing St. Patrick's Hymn, arranged by Dan Forrest.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Alumni may
register for Homecoming online and purchase tickets in advance at
http://leeuniversity.edu/homecoming.
Tickets may also be purchased through the Dixon Center Box Office,
open from 3-6 p.m. Monday-Friday.
