  • About the Hall

B.L. Hicks Hall is an apartment-style residence hall conveniently located near the Helen DeVos College of Education and the DeVos Student Recreation Center. This hall features two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments with an open-concept living room and kitchen area, and its own heating and air unit. The kitchen comes complete with a full size refrigerator/freezer, stove/oven, microwave, and cabinet space. There is an extended countertop in the kitchen with bar stools provided. Residents provide their own living room furniture and kitchen supplies. The bedrooms are equipped with two extra-long twin beds, two desks with chairs, two chests of drawers, and a large closet. There is also a hall closet located just inside the entrance to the apartment. At the residents’ own expense, a local cable company can be contacted for cable services. A coin/card-operated laundry facility is located on the second floor.

Meet the RD | Adam Marroquin

"I view my role as an RD to be a ministry where I can help develop and shape young leaders. My hope is that my residents will gain a deeper understanding of themselves in order to formulate healthy habits on which to build for the rest of their lives. I am honored to have the privilege to work with students and see their growth and development from semester to semester."

    Community Outreach

This year B.L. Hicks has partnered with People for Care and Learning, a humanitarian organization that moves into neighborhoods throughout Southeast Asia and the US to inspire hope, extend justice, and give the poor a working chance. We have been involved by helping to raise funds and volunteering at local fundraisers for their Build a City campaign in Cambodia.
