The History, Political Science, and Humanities Department’s primary mission is to help students develop the habits of thinking Christianly about all of life, particularly in the areas of government, history, the classics and classical languages, humanities, law, political science, and international studies. Students completing our programs are prepared to pursue careers in a wide variety of fields including teaching, research, public service, and international work and further training in law school and graduate school.

Pre-Law

While there is no specific undergraduate degree program required for entrance into law school, Lee has numerous students who are preparing to pursue a legal education. As such, we have a minor that includes coursework designed with this preparation in mind. One can minor in Pre-Law with majors from many of Lee University’s departments, but the advisor for those with this minor is a faculty member in the Department of History, Political Science and Humanities.
