Cuellar discusses ways Latin American Evangelical and Pentecostal theologians have used a variety of images to describe the identity of Christ and his significance for Latin American people who live in poverty and suffering. Consequently, Latin Americans have developed a theology that fully integrates justice, peace, reconciliation, and evangelism.

He invites the North American and the Latino Protestant churches in the United States to rediscover the person and the impact of the message of Christ concerning the Kingdom of God in breaking down the walls of hostility and bringing reconciliation with God and one another.

Cuellar’s Christological reflection comes from his experiences as a Latino born and raised in Peru, but currently living in the United States.

“Returning to my alma mater and presenting at the Hiebert Center was truly an honor that I will cherish for the rest of my life,” said Cuellar.

Cuellar’s lecture will soon be available for viewing by on Facebook.
