Lee University will welcome Don Beebe, author and former NFL player, to Conn Center Chapel on Tuesday, April 3, at 10:40 a.m.

Beebe began his NFL career in 1989 and quickly earned the respect of players and coaches though his strong work ethic and character. In 1996 he was honored as an “Unsung Hero” at the NFL Players Association Awards Banquet. He was also awarded ESPN’s ESPY Award for “NFL Play of the Year” in 1993 for his “never give up” attitude shown while playing in Super Bowl XXVII for the Buffalo Bills. Beebe went on to win Super Bowl XXXI with the Green Bay Packers.

Following his departure from the NFL, Beebe went on to found House of Speed, which specializes in training athletes with an emphasis on strong character. House of Speed has trained over 100,000 athletes since its founding in 1998.

In 2012, Beebe, along with Denise Crosby, best-selling author and senior columnist for Sun-Times Media West, wrote “Six Rings From Nowhere,” a book that recounts Beebe’s life and Christian faith.

Beebe now travels as a motivational speaker.

This event is free, non-ticketed, and open to the public. As seating is limited, it is first come, first served.
