Lee and Sodexo to Unveil Sweeping Changes
This fall, the students, faculty and staff of Lee University will be eating fresh at Subway, running on Dunkin’, and enjoying some “darn good” coffee and food from Einstein Bros.
Lee and Sodexo have partnered to bring a major overhaul to the campus culinary experience, offering new meal plan packages and a variety of retail locations. This was in response to student feedback through comment cards, focus groups, “Ask the President,” and the administration’s desire to bring more excellence and a wider range of options to university dining.
The existing Pizza Hut and SubConnection will be removed from the PCSU food court. A Jazzman’s coffee shop will be located on the main floor of the building, with a Subway downstairs in the Rahamut Room. Simply to Go and Chik-fil-A will remain in the PCSU, and students can look forward to the expansion to a full-service Chik-fil-A in 2012.
Dunkin’ Donuts will be located in the Math and Science Complex. This will be a great addition to the relaxed and social study environment of the second floor of the Math and Science Complex. Einstein Bros. will be located in the Humanities Center.
Six new residential meal plans have been developed, providing students with greater flexibility in combining meals and flex dollars.
Kayla Keyt, of the Office of Business and Finance, said, “We are extremely excited for all of the changes. We always want to invest in the needs and wants of the students and are eagerly awaiting to see the response of the students and faculty to the new changes.”
