The Lee University Helen DeVos College of Education recently hosted the Southeast Superintendents Study Council, which meets on a monthly basis in effort to improve programs and opportunities in area public schools.

“We are proud to have educated many of the teachers serving in this area and are always excited about effective partnerships as we continue the work of developing the leaders and learners in our area schools,” said Dr. Bill Estes, dean of the Helen DeVos College of Education.

Included in the area’s superintendents were Dr. Linda Cash, director of Bradley County schools, and Dr. Russell Dyer, director of Cleveland City schools.

The superintendents discussed the upcoming Tennessee legislative session, ideas to improve participation in school nutrition programs, and updates from the Tennessee Organization of School Superintendents and Tennessee Department of Education.
