On Thursday, May 2, at 7:30 p.m. in Pangle Hall, the Lee University Singers will present its spring concert, which will preview the works to be performed on the ensemble’s upcoming tour of South America.
“For more than 55 years, Lee Singers has represented Lee University by performing diverse choral musical selections in a wide range of venues including churches, schools, and concert halls,” said Dr. Brad Moffett, professor of music and conductor of Lee Singers. “This concert will highlight the Singers’ commitment to eclectic musical genres. It would be our honor to share an evening of choral music with everyone.”
The concert will feature Lee Singers’ classics, original hymn arrangements, and songs from South America. Later in the week, on May 4, Lee Singers will depart for a 13-day tour of South America where the group will perform works from the concert in venues such as Casa de la Música in Quito, Ecuador.
Lee Singers is a mixed choral ensemble consisting of 45 vocalists and nine band members. The group performs a diverse repertoire of music on Lee’s campus, throughout the United States, and in various countries around the world.
The concert is free, non-ticketed, and open to the public.
