Lockerman Named Honorary Alumnus

Lee University President Dr. Paul Conn recently named Dr. Allan Lockerman as this year’s Honorary Alumnus as part of the 2011 Homecoming festivities.

Lockerman is Co-Pastor of First Baptist Church of Cleveland, Tenn. and a student favorite for his chapel appearances and pastoral care to the Lee family.

Lockerman received his DMin from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, MDiv from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and BS from the University of Georgia. He began his theological studies and interim pastoral work in 1978. He has served as pastor of churches in Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama.

Originally from Atlanta, Ga., Lockerman and his wife, Alice Brown Lockerman, have three children, Robert Allan, Jeffrey Allan, and Jennifer Kay. He has served on the executive committee in the Georgia and Tennessee Baptist Convention.
