Nate Tucker, vice president for Lee University’s Information Technology (IT), was recently inducted into the TargetX Rockstar Hall of Fame. This honor recognizes Tucker’s outstanding contributions to the higher education community and his pioneering use of the TargetX recruiting and retention platform to drive student success at Lee.

Tucker was among several honorees from colleges and universities across the nation who were inducted into the Hall of Fame as part of Liaison TargetX’s 2024 awards ceremony, which celebrates the most advanced and collaborative users of the TargetX platform. The Hall of Fame induction highlights Tucker’s exceptional efforts in leveraging digital technology to enhance student recruitment, engagement, and retention, as well as his willingness to share best practices with his peers across higher education institutions.

“I am honored to be inducted into the TargetX Rockstar Hall of Fame,” said Tucker. “This recognition is not only a testament to the incredible work being done at Lee University but also to the collaboration and innovation within the entire TargetX community. It’s inspiring to be part of a group that is committed to using technology to create meaningful impact in higher education and student success. I’m excited to continue learning from my peers and contributing to the growth of our shared mission.”

Zach Varga, Liaison’s vice president for client success, praised Tucker’s contributions, saying, “Nate Tucker is well known within the TargetX community for his innovative use of the platform to support Lee University’s enrollment and retention goals. His leadership and commitment to student success make him a deserving member of the 2024 Hall of Fame class.”

Tucker first joined Lee’s staff as an IT report writer and later worked as an application developer of computer systems for the university. He became Lee’s director of information technology in 2011 and has since overseen the management of Lee’s technological systems, including computer software, internet, and safeguarding data. Tucker earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and his Bachelor of Science in computer information systems and business administration from Lee.
