Williamson Awarded Crosby Scholarship

Lee University student J.J. Williamson was the recipient of the 2012 Crosby Scholarship, presented by Lee president Dr. Paul Conn on Oct 31 during a chapel service.
The Crosby Scholarship was established to honor the memory of Dr. Henry Crosby, a close friend of Lee President Paul Conn and his wife Darlia. Faculty members nominate a young man entering his junior year for the scholarship. The award recipient is then chosen from the nominations by a scholarship committee.
“I am honored to be the recipient of the Crosby Scholarship,” said Williamson. “It is moments like this where I cannot help but thank God for providing the means for me to fulfill the calling I believe He has placed on my life here at Lee University.”
A church music major from Marietta, Ga., Williamson has been heavily involved in many on-campus clubs and activities, including Voices of Lee.
“J.J. is an outstanding, responsible student with a great heart for ministry and tremendous ability to overcome obstacles, “said Director of Voices of Lee Danny Murray. “We are thrilled he is a member of Voices of Lee.”
