Tharp Hall is located at the heart of campus on the Pedestrian Mall. Residents enjoy close proximity to classroom buildings, the Deacon Jones Dining Hall, and the Paul Conn Student Union. Four students occupy a two-bedroom suite with a shared bathroom. The bathrooms include a toilet and a combination bathtub-shower. Each bedroom has two extra-long twin beds, two desks with chairs, two to three closets, and a sink/vanity. Each floor of this three-story building has its own coin/card-operated laundry facility and a TV lounge area complete with furniture, a television, and a community kitchen. The community kitchens are equipped with a refrigerator, a microwave, and a stove/oven. A unique feature of Tharp Hall is that it is connected by a hallway to Nora Chambers and Simmons Hall.
Inside Tharp Hall
Meet the Resident Director: Adalyn Hovingh
Residence life had a huge impact on my life during my undergrad years and helped me learn about how to live in and cultivate a healthy community. As an RD, my vision for students is that they would flourish in who God has made them and in their callings to serve the Lord. I pray students feel they belong and are valued. I am excited and humbled to walk alongside students during such a formative time in their lives.
