Transferring to Lee University
The Lee University experience attracts hundreds of new students every year, but did you know that many of them choose Lee after attending another college or university? Yes, we have freshmen who enroll at Lee with college credit from dual enrollment, AP, and other sources, but we also have freshmen, sophomores, and upperclassmen who set out on their college path and bring that experience with them to Lee. There are many versions of how this happens, and no matter whether you have a semester of credits or an associate’s degree from elsewhere, our goal is to make the process of transferring to Lee easy, so that you can quickly blend in to the Lee landscape. We know once your Lee journey is underway, your experiences on this top-tier, Christ-centered campus will be valuable.
The Transfer Process
Lee University understands transfer students are different from incoming freshmen, and we work diligently to serve you in unique ways. We know your college experience is more than what takes place inside the classroom walls. Our goal is to provide resources that allow you to thrive academically, socially, and spiritually.
As a proud member of The Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Honor Roll, we strive to serve transfer students with excellence. The office of First Year Programs offers an outlet to community through social events, student sessions, peer leaders and success coaches. Our Transfer Gateway Seminar is handcrafted to enhance your transfer experience by introducing skills and opportunities needed to ensure your success at Lee.
Join hundreds of students who transfer to Lee each year and complete your degree in an environment where you will grow and be challenged unlike anywhere else!

Have an Associate Degree?
Some of the paths to transfer are preset and approved for students with associate’s degrees from community colleges in Tennessee. For 37 associate’s degrees, we have already laid out a two-year pathway that will culminate in a Lee University bachelor’s degree in that discipline. Visit our Tennessee Transfer Pathways page to check the list of pathways. The way may already be paved for you.

Aid for Transfer Students
We mentioned that the Lee experience is valuable. Did we mention it is also affordable? There are scholarships here specifically for students transferring in. Combine that with an already very competitive tuition rate, and it's clear why Lee is considered among the most affordable Christ-centered universities in the nation.
Transfer students have exclusive access to three non-competitive scholarship programs only for transfer students: the John D. Nichols Scholarship, the Community College Graduate Scholarship, and the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship. To learn more about these award programs, visit the Financial Aid Programs page and expand the Academic Scholarships accordion.
General information about Financial Aid can be found here.Meet Your Transfer Counselor
