Hello!  My name is Emily Makowski, and I am the Admissions Counselor for Bradley and Hamilton Counties and Dual Enrollment students.  I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA, but I have completely fallen in love with TN and know without a doubt that Lee is exactly where I was meant to be.

In December 2021, I graduated from Lee with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and a double minor in Biblical Studies and Business Administration.  During my time as a student, I was given the opportunity to grow in several different areas.  I had the honor of being a member of Delta Zeta Tau which taught me about true sacrifice and service.  I also had the privilege to be a small piece of Lee’s largest traveling vocal ensemble, Campus Choir, where my love for the Lord and music collided to produce some of the most impactful spiritual experiences, I have ever been a part of.  Both communities provided opportunities to serve my community, grow in my walk with Christ, develop leadership, and create friendships that will last forever.

Overall, Lee has challenged, stretched, equipped, and encouraged me far more than I ever could have imagined.  My spiritual, academic, and social experience as a student provided me with new perspectives, fostered an attitude of expectancy, and continuously pointed me back to the Father.  I would not be the same person I am now without my Lee story, and I cannot wait to walk alongside you as you start yours!  Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have!

If you are a student who has completed an A.A. or A.S. degree from a community college in the state of Tennessee and are interested in continuing your education at Lee University, you may take advantage of one of our approved pathways to completion. While the information provided on this web page does not take the place of an advisor or counselor, it is intended to help students and advisors work together to establish an appropriate pathway toward transferring from public Tennessee community colleges to Lee University.

Take A Look At Lee

Lee is a place you can call home. Whether studying on campus or online, you will encounter caring faculty who provide challenging academic experiences that engage both the mind and the spirit. We have emerged as a leader among universities in our region and are consistently recognized for the quality of our programs in and outside the classroom. You should expect these things from any quality college experience, but at Lee you can expect more - a supportive community who will help you discover your purpose. This is your future, and it matters to us.

Expect Something Great

We have a phrase around Lee, Expect Something Great. We think the college experience should be much more than just academic excellence. At Lee, we expect our students to experience transformational relationships with faculty, with other students, in campus life, and as they move into their calling. Students tell that story best, and this video will give you a glimpse of some of their experiences.

Graduation
Commencement occurs three times per year, sometimes outside, like this beautiful May graduation in 2018.
Spiritual Life
Worship binds us together. An array of worship, small group and discipleship experiences focus the Lee University community — students, faculty, and staff — on our faith. It's a huge part of what we mean by "Christ-centered."
Deke Day
Each year our students commit thousands of hours to learning the value of servant leadership. This hands-on kind of learning makes an impact in communities nearby and around the world.
Global Perspective
Over thirty trips per year criss-cross the globe, bringing our students into face-to-face contact with other cultures. It's part of the curriculum in every major, and part of what makes the Lee experience great.
Athletics
Lee competes in 18 sports in the Gulf South Conference of NCAA Division II, while students can take advantage of thriving intramural and club sports teams and a broad spectrum of fitness and recreational activities.
